Sridevi, I like your 2 kolam designs on the paper with good colouring and clear dot count. How about treating us with the floor version also? Smile

sridevi72's picture

I wld so much like to do the floor version mam. But we stay in an apartment in US, so dont have the place or permission to do on the floor.. Sad Sad

lakshmiraghu's picture

sridevi just a small suggestion..try it on kitchen platform or better look out for a wooden blanket .(wooden sheet).and you can draw on it. Smile

sridevi72's picture

This is a nice idea too...i'll give a try.

I too faced the same problem back in the day, here in CA. I bought big poster boards from craft stores and drew on them. They are really helpful. I remember once I drew a big design with liquid-glue on a big poster board, and put powder over it for the actual texture, so I could make the board stand upright on a table in a school-workshop. Look for the black or brown colored boards. You can also recycle your rangoli powder if you make use of these light weight boards. This dotted kolam looks beautiful. You have wonderful coloring skills. Smile

Thank you very much for encouraging me and giving great ideas. I will try the poster board.
